(exechange) — Rochester, New York, August 17, 2022 — Craig Knight, chief executive of Hyzon, leaves. As announced by Hyzon Motors Inc. in a news release on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Craig Knight leaves his post as chief executive officer at the supplier of zero-emission fuel cell electric heavy-duty vehicles, after about two years in the role, effective immediately.

Hyzon will undertake a search for a successor.

Craig Knight’s duties as CEO will be taken over temporarily by Parker Meeks, most recently Chief Strategy Officer at Hyzon Motors Inc., as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

“Critical juncture”

Hyzon did not give an explicit reason for Craig Knight’s departure from the CEO post. Elaine Wong, Hyzon’s Lead Independent Director, said: “Parker Meeks has the depth and breadth of experience in the energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors to provide the leadership and operational expertise Hyzon needs at this critical juncture in the global energy transition. The Board is confident Mr. Meeks brings the right skillset that we need at this time.”

Precise information regarding Craig Knight’s future plans was not immediately available.

Hyzon said: “Hyzon Motors Inc. (NASDAQ: HYZN) (“Hyzon” or “the Company”), a leading global supplier of zero-emission fuel cell electric heavy-duty vehicles, today announced the Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Parker Meeks, most recently Hyzon’s Chief Strategy Officer, as President and Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, replacing Craig Knight who is also departing from his role as a director of the Company.”

Share price decline since August 2021

The announcement follows a decline in Hyzon Motors Inc.’s share price of 65% since August 2021.

In the position of CEO since 2020

Craig Knight became CEO of the Company in 2020.

Knight has served as Hyzon’s Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board since August 2020.

From January 2020 when Knight co-founded Hyzon until August 2020, Knight served as its Chief Commercial Officer.

Knight served as Chief Executive Officer of Horizon from September 2019 to August 2020, and as Horizon’s Chief Commercial Officer from August 2006 to September 2019.

Knight has been the Managing Director of Hymas, an affiliate of Hyzon since its formation in May 2018.

Knight holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney.
