(exechange) — Wiesbaden, Germany, August 14, 2019 — Jürgen Köhler, chief executive of SGL Carbon, leaves. As announced by SGL Carbon SE in an ad-hoc statement published on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, Jürgen Köhler leaves his post as Chief Executive Officer at the maker of carbon fibres for auto parts after about six years in the role, effective August 31, 2019.

SGL Carbon did not name a replacement for the position of Chief Executive Officer.

“As a consequence of this development”

On August 14, 2019, SGL Carbon also said that following the analysis of the actual results of the business unit Composites – Fibers & Materials (CFM) in July 2019, the company is correcting its guidance.

SGL Carbon said: “As a consequence of this development, the Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jürgen Köhler has informed the supervisory board today that he has resigned from his mandate as Chief Executive Officer effective August 31, 2019.”

Precise information regarding Jürgen Köhler’s future plans was not immediately available.

Share price decline

The announcement follows a decline in SGL Carbon SE’s share price of 77% since January 2014.

He graduated from Technical University Munich in Chemical Engineering.
