(exechange) — McLean, Virginia, May 13, 2024 — Chuck Prow, chief executive of V2X, leaves his position. As announced by V2X Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Monday, May 13, 2024, Charles L. (Chuck) Prow leaves his post as chief executive officer at the defense contractor, after almost eight years in the role, effective June 17, 2024.

Generally speaking, it raises questions when a CEO leaves his post at short notice.

Chuck Prow’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Jeremy Wensinger, previously Chief Operating Officer at Peraton Inc.

The fact that Chuck Prow’s successor is brought in from outside suggests that the board may seek to stimulate change with fresh ideas and new initiatives.

In general, an outsider does not have the constraints of an insider when it comes to leading painful changes or making unpopular decisions.

“Thorough Board-led succession planning process”

The management change is explained as follows. V2X stated: “Jeremy Wensinger has been appointed President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors, succeeding Chuck Prow. This appointment, which is effective as of June 17, 2024, is the result of a thorough Board-led succession planning process designed to ensure a smooth transition and continue V2X’s positive business momentum.”

Precise information regarding Chuck Prow’s future plans was not immediately available.

V2X said: “On May 9, 2024, Mr. Prow was separated as President and CEO of the Company, effective June 17, 2024.”

Share price decline since May 2021

The announcement follows a decline in V2X Inc.’s share price of 8% since May 2021.
