As announced by Ceridian HCM Holding Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, Leagh E. Turner, co-chief executive officer, leaves the human capital management software company, after less than two years in the role, effective November 10, 2023.

Ceridian eliminates the dual chief executive officer role. David D. Ossip will be sole chief executive officer.

Career change

The management change is explained as follows. Ceridian stated: “Leagh Turner, Co-CEO and member of the Board of Directors, will depart the company on November 10, 2023 to become CEO of Coupa Software. David Ossip will continue to lead the company as Chair and sole CEO.”

Turner will be CEO at Coupa

On November 1, 2023, Coupa announced Leagh Turner will join Coupa as its new CEO, effective November 13, 2023. Turner also joins Coupa’s Board of Directors.

Coupa is a cloud based business spend management platform.

Ceridian said: “Leagh Turner, Co-CEO and member of the Board of Directors, will depart the company on November 10, 2023.”

Ceridian further said: “On October 27, 2023, Leagh E. Turner, co-Chief Executive Officer of Ceridian HCM Holding Inc. (the “Company”) notified the Company of her intent to resign as co-Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company effective on November 10, 2023.”

“Not the result of a disagreement”

Ceridian stated, regarding the change: “Ms. Turner’s decision to resign is not the result of a disagreement with the Company on any matter related to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.”

Share price decline since February 2022

The announcement follows a decline in Ceridian HCM Holding Inc.’s share price of 18% since February 2022. February 2022 is the month in which Turner’s tenure as co-CEO began.

Turner has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Ceridian HCM Holding Inc. since February 2022, and has served as a director since February 2022.
