Entravision CEO Walter Ulloa dies at 74

(exechange) — Santa Monica, California, January 3, 2023 — Walter Ulloa, chief executive of Entravision, has died. Entravision announced his death on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Walter F. Ulloa has been in the role of Chief Executive Officer at Entravision Communications Corporation for 27 years. He died at age 74.

Entravision will undertake a search for a successor.

Walter Ulloa’s duties as CEO will be taken over temporarily by Christopher T. (Chris) Young, most recently Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Entravision Communications Corp., as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Chris Young is about 20 years younger than Walter Ulloa.

“Passed away of a sudden heart attack”

Entravision said: “On January 3, 2023, Entravision Communications Corporation (the “Company”) announced that Walter F. Ulloa, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, died on December 31, 2022.”

Entravision said: “Walter F. Ulloa, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, passed away of a sudden heart attack on December 31, 2022. He was 74 years old.”

In the position of CEO since 1996

Walter Ulloa became CEO of the Company in 1996.

Ulloa served as the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since the company’s inception in 1996.

From 1989 to 1996, Ulloa was involved in the development, management or ownership of the Company’s predecessor entities.

From 1976 to 1989, he worked at KMEX-TV, Los Angeles, California, as Operations Manager, Production Manager, News Director, Local Sales Manager and an Account Executive.
