(exechange) — St. Petersburg, Florida, November 4, 2022 — Mark Mondello, chief executive of Jabil, leaves his position. As announced by Jabil Inc. in a news release on Friday, November 4, 2022, Mark T. Mondello leaves his post as chief executive officer at the technology components manufacturer, after around 10 years in the role, effective May 1, 2023.

Mark Mondello’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Kenneth S. (Kenny) Wilson, currently Executive Vice President, leading the Greenpoint Team at Jabil Inc.

“Thorough succession plan”

Mark Mondello’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Jabil said: “[O]ver the past two years, Mark has been fully transparent about his plans, allowing us the opportunity to work together to ensure a thorough succession plan, one that led to the selection of Kenny Wilson, a long-tenured and superbly prepared Jabil leader.”

Mondello will remain as Executive Chairman at Jabil

“Mondello, a Jabil employee for more than 30 years, will continue to serve as Executive Chairman following the effective date of Wilson’s appointment,” Jabil said.

Jabil said: “Kenny Wilson has been named as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer and will continue to work closely with Mark Mondello, Jabil’s current Chairman and CEO, before assuming the role of CEO on May 1, 2023.”

Share price increase since November 2017

The announcement follows an increase in Jabil Inc.’s share price of 122% since November 2017.

In the position of CEO since 2013

Mark Mondello became CEO of the Company in 2013.

Mark Mondello was appointed as CEO and director of Jabil in 2013 and appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors effective November 1, 2021.

He joined Jabil in 1992 as a manufacturing supervisor.

He was promoted to project manager in 1993, named vice president, business development in 1997, Senior Vice President, Business Development in 1999, and COO in 2002, overseeing global operations, business development, new product development, supply chain, and information technology.

Prior to Jabil, Mondello was a commercial and defense-related aerospace project manager for Moog, Inc.

A native of Chicago, he holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida.
