(exechange) — Atlanta, Georgia, July 27, 2022 — Gary Rollins, chief executive of Rollins, leaves his position. As announced by Rollins Inc. in a news release on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Gary W. Rollins leaves his post as chief executive officer at the provider of pest- and termite-control services, after almost 22 years in the role, effective January 1, 2023.

It is the end of an era.

Gary Rollins’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Jerry E. Gahlhoff, currently President and Chief Operating Officer at Rollins Inc.

It is a generational change. Jerry Gahlhoff is about 28 years younger than Gary Rollins.

“Long-term leadership succession plan”

Gary Rollins’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Rollins said: “Rollins Inc. (NYSE: ROL), a premier global consumer and commercial services company, announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved the Company’s long-term leadership succession plan.”

Rollins will remain as Chairman at Rollins

“Gary W. Rollins, current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, is expected to remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors,” Rollins said.

The announcement follows an increase in Rollins Inc.’s share price of 102% since July 2017.

Gary Rollins became CEO of the Company in 2001.

Gary W. Rollins was elected a Director of Rollins, Inc. in 1981.

Rollins has extensive knowledge of the Company’s business and industry, serving over 53 years at the Company.

In 2021, Rollins received the Lifetime Achievement Award from PCT and Syngenta for his decades of success supporting the pest control industry.

He serves as Chairman of the Company and continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer.

He previously served as the Vice Chairman of the Company.

Rollins serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Marine Products Corporation and RPC, Inc.

He has served as a Director of Marine Products Corporation since 2001 and a Director of RPC, Inc. since 1984.

Rollins previously served as a Director of Genuine Parts Company from 2005 to 2013.

Rollins received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
