McDonald’s CFO Kevin Ozan leaves his post

(exechange) — Chicago, Illinois, June 27, 2022 — Kevin Ozan, finance chief of McDonald’s, leaves his position. As announced by McDonald’s Corp. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Monday, June 27, 2022, Kevin Ozan leaves his post as chief financial officer at the fast-food chain, after almost eight years in the role, effective September 1, 2022.

Ozan leaves the company effective by mid-2023.

Kevin Ozan’s duties as CFO will be taken over by Ian Borden, currently President – International at McDonald’s Corp.

“We will share an update on our International leadership in mid-July”, McDonald’s stated.

Kevin Ozan’s move coincides with a management shake-up also involving the positions of Global Chief Supply Chain Officer; and Chief Global Impact Officer.

“Accelerate our momentum”

McDonald’s did not give an explicit reason for Kevin Ozan’s departure from the CFO post. McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said: “I feel immense pride in everything the McDonald’s System has accomplished over the past several years and am confident that the leaders announced today will help accelerate our momentum.”

Ozan will remain as Senior Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at McDonald’s

“Mr. Ozan was appointed to a newly-created role of Senior Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives,” McDonald’s said.

“Resign”

McDonald’s said: “Kevin Ozan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, notified the Company that he will resign from his role as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2022.”

Share price increase since June 2017

The announcement follows an increase in McDonald’s Corp.’s share price of 63% since June 2017.

In the position of CFO since 2015

Kevin Ozan became CFO of the Company in 2015.

Kevin Ozan is Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since March 2015.

Prior to that, Ozan served as Corporate Senior Vice President – Controller from February 2008 to February 2015.

Ozan has served the Company for 24 years.
