As announced by TrueBlue Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, A.Patrick Beharelle has left his post as chief executive officer at the provider of specialized workforce solutions, after less than four years in the role, effective June 14, 2022.

Patrick Beharelle’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Steven C. (Steve) Cooper, most recently Chairman at TrueBlue Inc.

“Allegations regarding his conduct”

Patrick Beharelle’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. TrueBlue said: “Mr. Beharelle’s resignation follows an investigation, led by outside counsel, into allegations regarding his conduct. Based on the investigation’s findings, the Board of Directors determined that he had engaged in behaviors that violated TrueBlue’s policies and Code of Conduct. Mr. Beharelle’s conduct in question was not related to financial controls, financial statements, or business performance.”

Precise information regarding Patrick Beharelle’s future plans was not immediately available.

“Resigned”

TrueBlue said: “Patrick Beharelle has resigned as Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of TrueBlue, effective June 14, 2022.”

Share price decline since September 2018

The announcement follows a decline in TrueBlue Inc.’s share price of 33% since September 2018. September 2018 is the month in which Beharelle’s tenure as CEO began.

A.Patrick Beharelle has served as a Director and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer since September 2018, after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since May 2015.

Beharelle served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the workforce management group, which included PeopleScout, Staff Management | SMX, Centerline, PlaneTechs, and the Australian-based RPO provider, PeopleScout Pty, from June 2014 to May 2015.

Prior to its acquisition by TrueBlue in June 2014, Beharelle served as the Chief Executive Officer of Staffing Solutions Holdings, Inc. (“Seaton”).

Beharelle has participated in advisory meetings at the White House focused on reducing long-term unemployment.

Prior to joining Seaton, Beharelle held senior level positions at Spherion and Accenture.

He currently serves as a Director of a nonprofit, Skills For Chicagoland’s Future.
