As announced by Mayville Engineering Co. in a news release on Thursday, March 31, 2022, Robert D. (Bob) Kamphuis leaves his post as chief executive officer at the provider of prototyping and tooling, production fabrication, coating, assembly and aftermarket services, after 17 years in the role, effective September 30, 2022.

Bob Kamphuis’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Robert D. Kamphuis said: “I believe it is the right time for me to step aside and let a new leader guide the company to continued future success.”

Bob Kamphuis became CEO of the Company in 2005.

Robert D. Kamphuis joined the Company as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2005 and has served as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer since January 2007.

Kamphuis also serves as a board member and past Chairman of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, a board member of Brakebush Brothers, Inc. and Subzero Group Inc., a member of the John Deere Direct Material Supplier Council, and a past member of the Harley Davidson Supplier Advisory Council.

Prior to joining the Company, Kamphuis held various roles with Giddings & Lewis, Inc. including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gilman Engineering and Manufacturing Co., LLC, a designer and manufacturer of automated assembly systems, and began his career with Ernst & Young.

Kamphuis is a graduate of the Executive International Leadership Program at Stanford University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

He is also a licensed certified public accountant.
