(exechange) — Westminster, Colorado, January 26, 2022 — John Hayes, chief executive of Ball, leaves his position. As announced by Ball Corp. in a news release on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, John A. Hayes leaves his post as chief executive officer at the manufacturer of metal beverage and food containers, after around 11 years in the role, effective April 27, 2022.

John Hayes’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Daniel W. (Dan) Fisher, currently president at Ball Corp.

John Hayes’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Stuart Taylor, lead independent director of Ball’s board of directors, said: “This announcement is the successful culmination of a purposeful, multiyear succession plan based on John’s desire to step away from day-to-day management.”

“John Hayes, 56, who has been Ball’s CEO since January 2011, will remain chairman of the board, and will continue to lead the company’s board activities and support its sustainability advocacy efforts,” Ball said.
