As announced by Insight Enterprises Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Thursday, May 6, 2021, Kenneth T. (Ken) Lamneck is preparing to leave his post as chief executive officer at the technology company after 12 years in the role.

Lamneck will continue to serve as the President and CEO and a member of the Board until a successor has been named. He will then transition to an advisory role.

Insight will undertake a search for a successor.

“Now is the right time”

Ken Lamneck’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Lamneck said: “We have a strong management team and I believe now is the right time to start transitioning the leadership of the Company.”

Precise information regarding Ken Lamneck’s future plans was not immediately available.

“Retire”

Insight said: “Ken Lamneck plans to retire as President and Chief Executive Officer effective December 31, 2021.”

Insight further said: “This transition is part of the Board’s succession planning, which has been in development over the last several years.  If a successor has not been named by December 31, 2021, Mr. Lamneck has agreed to continue to serve as CEO until a successor has been named.”

Share price increase since May 2018

The announcement follows an increase in Insight Enterprises Inc.’s share price of 187% since May 2018.

Chaired by Timothy A. Crown

Timothy A. Crown serves as Insight Enterprises Inc.’s Chair of the Board.

Crown has been a director since 1994 and assumed the position of Chair of the Board in November 2004. Crown has been a non-employee director since 2004. Crown, a co-founder of the Company, stepped down from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer in November 2004, positions he had held since January 2000 and October 2003, respectively.

In the position of CEO since 2010

Ken Lamneck became CEO of the Company in 2010.

Lamneck has been with the company since January 1, 2010.

Lamneck was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Insight effective January 1, 2010.

From 2004 through 2009, Lamneck served as President, the Americas, at Tech Data Corporation, a wholesale distributor of technology products, where he led operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America.

From 1996 to 2003, he held various executive management positions at Arrow Electronics, including President of Arrow/Richey Electronics and President of Arrow’s Industrial Computer Products business.

Lamneck is a member of the board of directors of Benchmark Electronics, Inc., a publicly-held company that provides integrated manufacturing, design and engineering services to original equipment manufacturers of computers and related products.
