(exechange) — Davidson, North Carolina, December 3, 2020 — Dave Adams, chief executive of Curtiss-Wright, leaves his position. As announced by Curtiss-Wright Corp. in a news release on Thursday, December 3, 2020, David C. (Dave) Adams leaves his post as chief executive officer of the provider of products to the defense, aerospace and industrial sectors after around seven years in the role, effective January 1, 2021.

Dave Adams’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Lynn M. Bamford, currently President of the Defense and Power Segments of Curtiss-Wright Corp.

“Planned retirement”

Dave Adams’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Curtiss-Wright said: “Lynn M. Bamford, currently President of the Defense and Power Segments, will be named President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, following David C. Adams’ planned retirement as CEO on January 1, 2021.”

Adams will remain as Executive Chairman at Curtiss-Wright

“To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Adams, 67, will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board through May 2022, at which time Ms. Bamford will assume the dual role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,” Curtiss-Wright said.

Share price increase since August 2013

The announcement follows an increase in Curtiss-Wright Corp.’s share price of 166% since August 2013. August 2013 is the month in which Adams’s tenure as CEO began.

Dave Adams became CEO of the Company in 2013.

David C. Adams has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since January 1, 2015.

Prior to this, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from August 2013.

He served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from October 2012; Co-Chief Operating Officer from November 2008; President of Curtiss-Wright Controls from June 2005; and Vice President of the Company from November 2005.

He has served as a Director of the Company since August 2013.

Adams also serves as a director of Snap-On Incorporated, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of high-end tools and equipment.
