(exechange) — Nassau, Bahamas, September 16, 2020 — Glenn Fusfield, chief executive of OneSpaWorld, leaves his post. His departure is made public at an early stage. As announced by OneSpaWorld Holdings Ltd. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Glenn J. Fusfield leaves his post as chief executive officer at the operator of health and wellness centers onboard cruise ships after about five years in the role, effective March 31, 2021.

Glenn Fusfield’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Leonard Fluxman, currently Executive Chairman of OneSpaWorld Holdings Ltd.

Glenn Fusfield’s move forms part of a management shake-up also involving the position of Chief Commercial Officer.

“Mixed emotions”

OneSpaWorld did not give an explicit reason for Glenn Fusfield’s departure from the CEO post. Glenn Fusfield said: “After 20 years of my life committed to working with the wonderful and talented associates of OneSpaWorld, it’s with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement.”

Precise information regarding Glenn Fusfield’s future plans was not immediately available.

“Retire”

OneSpaWorld said: “Glenn Fusfield, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, informed the Company of his intention to retire effective March 31, 2021 after 20 years of service.”

Share price decline

The announcement follows a decline in OneSpaWorld Holdings Ltd.’s share price of 57% since January 2020.

In the position of CEO since 2016

Glenn Fusfield became CEO of the Company in 2016.

Fusfield previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of OSW Predecessor beginning in July 2016, as President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2007 until July 2016, and as Chief Operating Officer from October 2002 until April 2007.

From January 2001 until April 2007, Fusfield served as Steiner Leisure’s Chief Operating Officer.

Fusfield joined OSW Predecessor in November 2000 as Senior Vice President, Group Operations.

Prior to joining OSW Predecessor, Fusfield was with Carnival Cruise Lines for 12 years, serving as Director, Hotel Operations, for Carnival from January 1995 until December 1998, and Vice President, Hotel Operations, from January 1999 to October 2000.

Fusfield earned a B.A. from the University of Denver School of Hotel Management.
