(exechange) — San Jose, California, August 17, 2020 — Hartmut Liebel, chief executive of Sanmina, leaves. As announced by Sanmina Corp. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Monday, August 17, 2020, Hartmut Liebel leaves his post as chief executive officer at the electronics manufacturing services provider after about a year in the role, effective immediately.

Hartmut Liebel’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Jure Sola, most recently Executive Chairman of Sanmina Corp.

“Pandemic and uncertainty”

Hartmut Liebel’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Jackie Ward, Lead Independent Director, said: “With the ongoing pandemic and uncertainty in the macroeconomic environment, we are confident that Jure’s four decades of experience will be instrumental in the company’s ongoing success.”

Precise information regarding Hartmut Liebel’s future plans was not immediately available.

“Leaving/resigned”

Sanmina said: “Hartmut Liebel its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is leaving the company, effective immediately.”

Sanmina further said: “Hartmut Liebel, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, has resigned from his positions with the Company, effective immediately.”

Share price increase since September 2019

The announcement follows an increase in Sanmina Corp.’s share price of 5% since September 2019.

In the position of CEO since 2019

Hartmut Liebel became CEO of the Company in 2019.

He has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company since September 2019 and as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from July 2019 until September 2019.

He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of privately owned iQor from June 2013 through August 2018.

He served as Chief Executive Officer, Aftermarker Services, of Jabil Inc. from 2005 until May 2013, previously held the positions of President, Aftermarker Services and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Aftermarket Services since joining Jabil in 2002.
