(exechange) — Winter Springs, Florida, May 29, 2020 — Leslie McDonnell, chief executive of IRadimed, leaves. As announced by IRadimed Corp. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Friday, May 29, 2020, Leslie McDonnell has left her post as chief executive officer at the pioneer in non-magnetic MRI compatible products after less than one year in the role, effective May 28, 2020.

Leslie McDonnell’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Roger Susi, most recently Chief Technology Officer of IRadimed Corp.

Susi served as IRadimed’s Chief Executive Officer and President from inception until August 2019, when he took the role of Chief Technology Officer.

No reason given

In the announcement, IRadimed did not explicitly explain the reason for Leslie McDonnell’s move.

Precise information regarding Leslie McDonnell’s future plans was not immediately available.

IRadimed said that “its Board of Directors has appointed Roger Susi to resume his duties as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer after the departure of Leslie McDonnell, who separated from the Company effective May 28, 2020.”

IRadimed further said: “On May 28, 2020, Leslie McDonnell, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Iradimed Corporation (the “Company”), separated from the Company effective immediately.”

Share price increase since September 2019

The announcement follows an increase in IRadimed Corp.’s share price of 19% since September 2019.

Leslie McDonnell became CEO of the Company in 2019.

McDonnell was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in August 2019 and has served as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since that time.

McDonnell is a healthcare business executive with extensive global experience in medical devices, supplies and equipment.

She most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of the Newborn Care business unit at Natus Medical from 2018 to 2019.

Prior to joining Natus Medical, she was the Global Business Vice President for the Critical & Chronic Care Solutions Division of 3M Healthcare from 2013 to 2018.

2001 to 2013, McDonnell held senior leadership positions at Medtronic in corporate M&A, business development, new therapy and product development, and marketing and business management.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Masters of Business Administration as an International Business Fellow from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
