(exechange) — Tontitown, Arkansas, April 30, 2020 — Dan Cushman, chief executive of PAM Transport, leaves. As announced by P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. in a news release on Thursday, April 30, 2020, Daniel H. (Dan) Cushman leaves his post as chief executive officer at the truckload dry van carrier after almost 11 years in the role, effective May 1, 2020.

PAM Transport will undertake a search for a successor.

Dan Cushman’s duties as CEO will be taken over in the interim by Matthew T. Moroun, currently Chairman of P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc., as interim Chief Executive Officer.

No reason given

In the announcement, PAM Transport did not explicitly explain the reason for Dan Cushman’s move.

Precise information regarding Dan Cushman’s future plans was not immediately available.

PAM Transport said: “Daniel H. Cushman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, has notified the Company that he intends to retire after eleven years as President and CEO of the Company effective May 1, 2020.”

Dan Cushman became CEO of the Company in 2009.

Cushman will remain in an advisory role with the Company until July 31, 2020.

Prior to his employment with the Company, Cushman served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CRST International, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (“CRST”), from July 2008 to July 2009, and as Vice President and General Manager of Dedicated Services for CRST from March 2008 to July 2008.

From January 2007 to March 2008, Cushman was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Werner Enterprises in Omaha, Nebraska.

From January 2002 to December 2006, he served as Executive Vice President Chief Marketing and Operations Officer for Werner Enterprises.
