(exechange) — Boston, Massachusetts, March 30, 2020 — Steve Rohleder, chief executive of GTY Technology, leaves. As announced by GTY Technology Holdings Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Monday, March 30, 2020, Stephen (Steve) Rohleder leaves his post as chief executive officer at the cloud-software provider after about a year in the role, effective immediately.

Steve Rohleder’s duties as CEO will be taken over by TJ Parass, most recently Chief Executive Officer of Questica Inc.

Steve Rohleder’s move forms part of a management shake-up also involving the position of Chief Operating Officer.

“Enhance profitability and growth”

GTY Technology did not give an explicit reason for Steve Rohleder’s departure from the CEO post. Rohleder said: “This move is the next logical step to position GTY as a market leader and to enhance profitability and growth.”

Precise information regarding Steve Rohleder’s future plans was not immediately available.

GTY Technology said: “GTY Technology Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: GTYH) (“GTY”), a leading vertical SaaS/Cloud solution for the public sector, announced today the appointment of TJ Parass as Chief Executive Officer of GTY, succeeding Stephen Rohleder who is leaving the company.”

GTY Technology further said: “On March 24, 2020, Stephen Rohleder resigned from his positions as Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the board of directors (the “Board”) of GTY Technology Holdings Inc. (“GTY” or the “Company”), effective March 30, 2020.”

Share price decline

The announcement follows a decline in GTY Technology Holdings Inc.’s share price of 45% since March 2019.

In the position of CEO since 2019

Steve Rohleder became CEO of the Company in 2019.

Stephen Rohleder has served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer since the consummation of the Company’s business combination in February 2019, as the Company’s President since May 20, 2019 and as a director since completion of the Company’s initial public offering.

Since 2015, Rohleder has been the principal owner of SGR Equity Investments.

Prior to SGR Equity Investments, he spent 34 years at Accenture.

Rohleder became partner at Accenture in 1992.

He served as Accenture’s chief executive officer for North America from 2014 to 2015, as chief executive officer of the health and public service operating group from 2009 to 2014, and, as global chief operating officer from 2004 to 2009.

As chief executive officer, Rohleder was responsible for Accenture’s business in the United States and Canada.

During his tenure as chief operating officer, he was responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction and overall operational performance and was responsible for all global operations.

Rohleder is currently an advisory board member at Kony, Inc., a cloud-based enterprise mobility solutions company and mobile application development platform provider.

Rohleder holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance with a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
