(exechange) — New York, March 19, 2020 — Greg Scott, chief executive of RTW Retailwinds, leaves. As announced by RTW Retailwinds Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Thursday, March 19, 2020, Gregory J. (Greg) Scott leaves his post as chief executive officer at the specialty apparel retail platform after around nine years in the role, effective April 17, 2020.

Greg Scott’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Traci Inglis, currently President and Chief Marketing and Customer Officer of RTW Retailwinds Inc.

“Personal reasons”

Greg Scott’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. RTW Retailwinds said: “Gregory Scott, who has directed the Company’s strategy for almost a decade has decided to relocate to California for personal reasons and therefore will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, following a transition period.”

Precise information regarding Greg Scott’s future plans was not immediately available.

Share price decline

The announcement follows a decline in RTW Retailwinds Inc.’s share price of 95% since January 2019.

RTW Retailwinds Inc. is chaired by Grace Nichols.

Grace Nichols was appointed to the role of non-executive chair of the Company’s board of directors in February 2011 and has served as a director since 2008.

Greg Scott became CEO of the Company in 2011.

Gregory J. Scott was named Chief Executive Officer in February 2011 and served as President from June 2010 through October 2014.

Scott was appointed to the Company’s board of directors on August 18, 2010.

Scott has more than 30 years of retail industry experience.

Most recently, Scott served as the Chief Executive Officer of Bebe Stores from February 2004 to January 2009 and also served as a member of their board of directors from August 2004 to January 2009.

Prior to Bebe, Scott served as President of Arden B., a division of Wet Seal, Inc., from May 2000 to January 2004.

Scott has also held senior level merchandising positions at Ann Taylor Stores.

Scott began his retail career in the executive training program at Macy’s West, a division of Federated Department Stores, Inc., where he held several merchandising positions.

Scott holds a B.A. from UCLA.
