(exechange) — Fremont, California, November 5, 2019 — Tom Rohrs, chief executive of Ichor, leaves his position. As announced by Ichor Holdings Ltd. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, Thomas (Tom) Rohrs leaves his post as chief executive officer at the maker of fluid delivery subsystems and components for semiconductor capital equipment after about five and a half years in the role, effective January 6, 2020.

Among the 3,000 largest publicly held companies incorporated in the U.S. based on market capitalization, the average tenure of the CEOs who announced their departure over the past 12 months was 7.5 years, according to data compiled by exechange.

Tom Rohrs’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Jeffrey S. (Jeff) Andreson, currently President of Ichor Holdings, Ltd.

“The strongest possible team”

A reason for Tom Rohrs’s departure from the CEO post was not explicitly provided. Tom Rohrs said: “Since our IPO nearly three years ago, one of my primary goals has been to build the strongest possible team to lead the company.”

Rohrs will remain as executive chairman at Ichor

(NASDAQ: ICHR), a leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of critical fluid delivery subsystems for semiconductor capital equipment, today announces the transition of Tom Rohrs to executive chairman of the company and the promotion of Jeff Andreson to chief executive officer, effective January 6, 2020,” Ichor said.

Ichor said: “Thomas Rohrs, current CEO of the Company, will transition to executive chairman and Jeffrey Andreson, current president of the Company, will be promoted to CEO effective as of January 6, 2020.”

Share price increase since December 2018

The announcement follows an increase in Ichor Holdings, Ltd.’s share price of 85% since December 2018.

In the position of CEO since 2014

Tom Rohrs became CEO of the Company in September 2014.

Thomas M. Rohrs has served as Chairman and director of Ichor since February 2012 and as Chief Executive Officer since September 2014.

Prior to serving at Ichor, Rohrs served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Skyline Solar from 2010 to 2012 and Electroglas from 2006 to 2009.

Rohrs also served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations and a member of the Executive Committee for Applied Materials from 1997 to 2002 and as Vice President of Worldwide Operations for Silicon Graphics from 1992 to 1997.

Rohrs currently serves on the board of directors of Advanced Energy and Intevac.

Rohrs previously served on the board of directors of Magma Design Automation, Ultra Clean Technologies and Vignani Technologies.

Rohrs holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
