As announced by Rémy Cointreau SA in a news release on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet leaves her post as Chief Executive Officer at the French liquor company after about five years in the role, effective by the end of the year 2019.

Rémy Cointreau did not name a replacement for the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet’s departure from the CEO post is explained as follows. Rémy Cointreau said: “Mrs. Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet will step down as Chief Executive Officer, for personal reasons, by the end of the year 2019.”

Share price increase since January 2015

The announcement follows an increase in Rémy Cointreau SA’s share price of 133 percent since January 2015.

Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet has been the Chief Executive Officer of Rémy Cointreau SA since January 27, 2015.

Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet spent more than twenty years with the L’Oréal Group where she successively held various executive positions in Asia, Europe and North America.

After heading the Luxury Products Division at L’Oréal in the United States, she joined Louis Vuitton in 2008 where, having been entrusted with the development of Taiwan and the creation of the Southern Europe Region, she was subsequently appointed President and CEO of the Americas region.
