As announced by J.Jill Inc. in a news release and in a regulatory filing published on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, David (Dave) Biese, Chief Financial Officer, leaves the women’s clothing stores company after almost 10 years in the role, effective April 30, 2019.

Among the 3,000 largest publicly held companies incorporated in the U.S. based on market capitalization, the average tenure of the CFOs who departed over the past 12 months was 6.6 years, according to data compiled by exechange.

Dave Biese’s move comes eight months after Linda Heasley took over as CEO of J.Jill, Inc.

He previously served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at FYE.

Earlier in his career, Biese was Vice President and Controller at Carson Pirie Scott & Co., a department store division of publicly held Saks Incorporated.

Biese is a Certified Public Accountant and started his career as a public accountant at KPMG.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.

Biese will work closely with management to ensure a smooth transition to his successor.
