As announced by Auto Trader Group plc in a regulatory filing published on Monday, July 03, 2017, Sean Glithero leaves the post as Chief Financial Officer at the digital automotive marketplace in a surprising move after almost five years on the job.
Sean Glithero will remain in his role to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities, with a handover date to be mutually agreed between the Company and Glithero.
Glithero’s duties are taken over by Nathan Coe, currently Chief Operating Officer at Auto Trader Group plc.
Glithero will take a new role at Funding Circle
“Sean Glithero, Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) has informed the Board of his intention to step down from his position as CFO and as a director and take a new role at Funding Circle,” Auto Trader said. Funding Circle Ltd. is a peer-to-peer lending company.
Share price decline
The change follows a decline in the share price of Auto Trader Group plc since June 05, 2017.

On the job as CFO since 2012
After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young, working within both the audit and corporate finance departments, Glithero worked in the telecoms industry and for FTSE100 company BPB plc, before joining Auto Trader as Group Financial Controller in 2006.
He has since held various group and divisional roles in the business, helping the business reshape through acquisitions and disposals as well as aiding the transition online through restructuring and realignment programs.
Glithero was appointed Chief Financial Officer in September 2012 and has led two major re-financings and also has responsibility for customer security, legal services and procurement.
Glithero holds a B.A. (Hons) in Accountancy from Exeter University.
Glithero will not be standing for re-election at the Annual General Meeting to be held on September 21, 2017.
