(exechange) — Houston, Texas, March 06, 2017 — Mark McCollum, finance chief of Halliburton, leaves. It is an abrupt change. As announced by Halliburton Company in a news release on Monday, March 06, 2017, Mark McCollum, Chief Financial Officer, leaves the oilfield service company in a surprising move, effective immediately.
Halliburton will undertake a search for a successor.
McCollum’s duties are taken over in the interim by Robb L. Voyles, most recently Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Halliburton Company.
McCollum will be Chief Executive Officer at Weatherford International plc
“Chief Financial Officer Mark McCollum is leaving the Company effective immediately to become Chief Executive Officer at Weatherford International plc,” Halliburton said. Weatherford International plc is an oilfield service company.
Share price rise since February 2016
The change follows a rise in the share price of Halliburton Company since February 2016.

Lesar has been an Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Halliburton Company since August 2000.
On the job as CFO since 2008
McCollum has over 36 years of leadership experience in the energy sector.
He served as Chief Financial Officer of Halliburton Company, a position he started in 2008 and resumed in July of 2016 following an interim role as Chief Integration Officer during the pendency of Halliburton’s proposed acquisition of Baker Hughes Incorporated.
Prior to joining Halliburton, McCollum held a number of senior positions at Tenneco, Inc., including Chief Financial Officer, and served as an Audit and Advisory Partner in Arthur Andersen’s Energy Division, where he began his career.
McCollum is a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit and Compensation Committees at Archrock, Inc., previously known as Exterran Holdings.
He is also a Regent at Baylor University and on the Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees.
McCollum received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Baylor University, and is a registered CPA in the State of Texas.
