Ingredion CFO Jack Fortnum leaves post at short notice

( — Westchester, Illinois, February 02, 2017 — Jack Fortnum, finance chief of Ingredion, leaves. It is a change at short notice. As announced by Ingredion Incorporated in a news release on Thursday, February 02, 2017, Jack Fortnum leaves the post as Chief Financial Officer at the food company after about three years on the job, effective March 01, 2017.

Fortnum leaves the company effective June 30, 2017.

Fortnum’s duties are taken over by Jim Gray, currently vice president corporate finance at Ingredion Incorporated.

Jim Gray, Ingredion vice president corporate finance, will become executive vice president and CFO effective March 1, when Fortnum will move into a senior advisory role until his retirement.


Ingredion said: “Jack Fortnum, CFO and executive vice president, plans to retire on June 30, 2017 after 33 years with the company”.

Precise information about the future plans of Fortnum was not immediately available.

Share price rise since February 2009

The change follows a rise in the share price of Ingredion Incorporated since February 2009.

Gordon has been Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since May 4, 2009.

On the job as CFO since 2014

Fortnum has been the Chief Financial Officer of Ingredion Incorporated since January 6, 2014 and has been its Executive Vice President since January 6, 2014.

Fortnum is executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to assuming this position he served as executive vice president and president, North America.

He has also served as president U.S./Canadian region, president U.S. business, corporate controller and various positions of increasing importance, including vice president of finance for the Canadian Corn Refining Business and director of finance and planning for the Latin American Corn Refining Business.

Prior to joining the company, he was with Crown Life Insurance Co. and Clarkson Gordon.

Fortnum received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.

He is a Chartered Accountant, and completed a senior business administration program offered by McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
