As announced by Quotient Technology Inc. in a news release on Thursday, March 24, 2022, Steven Boal leaves his post as chief executive officer at the digital media and promotions technology company, after less than three years in the role, effective by year-end 2022.

Steven Boal’s duties as CEO will be taken over by Matthew (Matt) Krepsik, currently Chief Technology Officer at Quotient Technology Inc.

“Commitment to shareholder value creation”

Quotient did not give an explicit reason for Steven Boal’s departure from the CEO post. Quotient said: “Quotient Technology Inc. (NYSE: QUOT) (“Quotient” or the “Company”), the leading digital media and promotions technology company, today announced that its Board of Directors has implemented a series of actions consistent with its commitment to shareholder value creation.”

Precise information regarding Steven Boal’s future plans was not immediately available.

“Stepping down”

Quotient said: “Matthew Krepsik, currently Chief Technology Officer, will assume office as Quotient’s next Chief Executive Officer by year-end 2022. Mr. Krepsik will succeed Steven Boal, who has served as CEO since August of 2019, when he returned to execute a turn-around of the business, and will be stepping down at the time of the transition.”

Share price decline since August 2019

The announcement follows a decline in Quotient Technology Inc.’s share price of 36% since August 2019. August 2019 is the month in which Boal’s tenure as CEO began.
